Lilly Wei’s inspired curatorial coupling brings together a hitherto unexhibited Judith Murray triptych from the 1980s, Messengers: Rogue, Luminary, Magician, and a comparably monumental new collage installation by Cordy Ryman. In their separate ways the artists tease out distinctions of illusion and actuality in painting constructions that describe and constitute depth and protrusion.
